Position Summary
Gibraltar and its subsidiaries are industry leading innovators and suppliers to a range of infrastructure, agriculture technology, solar and home service products. As part of this team, you will be an integral resource to continue our business adoption and use of leading technical platforms in MS SQL , Azure SQL and other related environments. The team is well positioned to advance the company on multiple fronts, and we need a great team player to help round out the roster. This is a new position which expands our commitment and focuses on rapid delivery to the business. This role will report to the Director of IT. The Sr. SQL DBA will serve as a member of a team that is responsible for the design, implementation, development, and support of internal business applications including an Azure SQL and MS SQL instances.
Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)
Work with stakeholders to understand business processes, document requirements and define SQL solutions.
Develop, test, and maintain custom solutions for current and future SQL implementations.
Manage the overall SQL DEV/TEST/PROD environments, upgrades, patches and ensure compliance with all ITGC related requests.
Write SQL queries and reports to extract and manipulate data from multiple relational databases.
Meet deadlines for individual and team projects.
Maintain technical documentation and source control related to project design and implementation.
Respond quickly to resolve application issues.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent relevant experience
7+ years' experience developing in and implementing SQL
4+ years' integration experience with other non-SQL systems, for example, SalesForce, Azure Data Factory, AWS, APIs
Intermediate working knowledge of MySQL
Extended knowledge in writing Business Activity Queries (BAQs), Business Process Management (BPMs), and developing customizations using appropriate SQL tools.
Define and implement SQL monitoring and application management capabilities.
Working knowledge of Power BI and Azure Data Factory desired
Understanding of Agile application development methodologies
Ability to lead collaboration across multiple disciplines in a remote worker environment to engage with business leaders and teams
Clear verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate the roadmap of SQL in relation to our business objectives
Be self-directed to complete assignments
Naturally curious to expand understanding of our technical stack and suggest improvements across environment
