Position Summary

The Service Technician provides exceptional customer service and technical support to our expanding customer base. This role is responsible for customer relationship management through equipment installations, providing onsite and over the phone technical support, training, maintenance, troubleshooting and managing travel logistics or completing any other tasks as assigned.

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

Performs physical hardware installations, maintenance, upgrade and monitoring of Prospiant systems in the field.

Schedules and executes planned and unplanned service calls. Weekend availability required to support trade shows, workshops and customer repairs.

Travels internationally. Work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules.

Assesses product/equipment performance based on field support data; recommends modifications or improvements.

Assists in the upgrading of existing equipment in the field.

Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs and driving customer satisfaction.

Reporting any deviations from established product quality standards and specifications.

Serves as the company liaison

Always maintain a positive attitude and provide outstanding customer service

Assist in the development of detailed installation and field service plans.

Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues to optimize project scheduling, resolve technical issues and coordinate material deliveries.

Maintains up to date, clear and concise customer service logs and internal service records in an organized manner. Assists in the creation and updating detailed customer files, including pictures and notes.

Assists in conducting root cause failure analysis on machines sent back to the factory.

Assists in setting up and testing of prototype designs

Actively participates in QMS activities.


Experience in technical support preferred

Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment.

Must be able to crouch, bend, kneel or squat to work on equipment.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. from floor to hip level, on a semi-regular basis, is required.
